Big Thorn Farm – Smoked Lager – 2 out of 7

Watery. The kind of water without carbonation, you know, water. This beer smelled okay at first, but those hopes were quickly dashed by the taste. I thought that the keg was getting low and would have perhaps kicked myself for not getting out and drinking this beer sooner, but the bartender asserted that the keg was just hooked up, oh well for making up excuses for these guys. This one didn’t work out. This beer tastes like a wheat beer with some sour, more bitter, and lots of water. And its flat. I don’t like it. No good. It’s beer, tastes like bad beer. Score = 2 out of 7 smokestacks. End of review.

Brewer Big Thorn Farm
Beer Name Smoked Lager
Brewer’s Description Brewed with a touch of smoked malt, this pale-colored lager was aged on a smattering of roasted logs from our woods. Lager yeast makes for a clean, light body that accentuates fresh wood notes and a smooth, smoky finish.
