Wood Burner is a good beer. Confession right off the bat however, I let this beer sit a bit too long down in my smokebeer bunker. But true smokebeer experts can backdate their palates, and tell you what the beer tasted like, had they not been so lazy on their beer drinking (I will make adjustments). I’ve had beers similar to this one; American ingredients forward, copious amounts of malts, definitely smoked malts in there, and some hops? because I’m getting bitters on the back of my tongue. And there are barrel flavors in this beer, which mask the 11% booze really well. I like it. Pro tip – if you have this beer, drink it. How does it stack up? Wood Burner earns 5.5 overall smokestacks, out of a total of 7 smokestacks possible.
