Readers know we joke about sausage flavor seeping into smokebeers, but for whatever reason, the word “bacon” merely being substituted for sausage conjures up a far less appetizing expectation for the taste of this beer. Brenner Brewing Co. is making the exact same connection that SBM does, and obviously riding on the completely cliched popularity of bacon currently, drew me to the point of skeptical hesitation upon conducting this review. Maybe I’m being hypocritical, but aren’t we all tired of these mindless ninny’s gushing over bacon already? Nonetheless, this is a great beer. I was able to overcome preconceived notions and see this beer for what it truly is. This is a thin, thirst quenching beer encouraging me to pound 4 or 5 of these while doing projects in my garage or out in the yard. This beer will suds up a bit, although it only lasts a few seconds (no big deal there). And, this beer has no silt in the bottom (a big plus there for those turnt up to 12 o’clock swigs). Also, methinks there’s a hint of spiciness on the back of my throat with this one. Any smokebeer that scores 6 and up is top notch, and this scores an Overall Happiness score of 6 solid smokestacks all day long.

Here’s another pic of the back/side of the bottle, which is the only place the name can be found.
Here’s a link to their barely functioning website… let’s hope they get that sorted out.
