Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier – Urbock – 7 out of 7 Smokestacks

Aecht Schlenkerla Urbock

Drink three of these and you’ll get that same feeling you’ll get when you’re out camping and you realize that sitting by the campfire has saturated your entire body with that wonderful campfire smell. No rules out here in the woods. Drink at your own pace, until you’ve had your fill, until you’ve told all your jokes. Sure, throw another log on the fire, sure, balance an unopened can of light beer on top of the fire, sure, don’t tell anyone and wait to see what happens. No Rules! This mature beer awaits those who seek truth in flavor. Notes of campfire waft up and singe the nostrils, and it feels good. Robust campfire smoke flavor rushes to warm your entire body. Some people don’t feel worthy of love, but Aecht Schlenkerla embraces us all. Overall smokestack rating = 7 out of 7.

Brewer Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier
Beer Name Urbock
Brewer’s Description Aecht Schlenkerla Urbock is the complex sibling of the classic Maerzen Smokebeer. Exactly like the classic all its barley malts are smoked over beech wood logs. Its higher smokemalt concentration and longer maturation in the 700 year old cellars underneath Bamberg create a taste profile of most intense smokiness beautifully balanced with deep malt sweetness.
