I’m in so deep with this smokebeer thing that I branched out and bought a smoked kombucha. Or is it kombucha beer? Kombucha is a fermented, slightly alcoholic, fizzy, sweetened drink that Whole Foods customers think have health benefits, (they might be right). This kombucha beer called BrewGyver, made by the vegan-paleo-artisinal team at Unity Vibration hits the smokestack ratings on the lower end, which was higher than I was expecting. This kombucha-beer (kombucha-beer reminds me of the term cheese-food, which KraftHeinz will have you know cheese-food is NOT cheese, cheese-food is something different that the gov’t allowed them to invent in order to distract you long enough to get your money) but this kombucha-beer drink smells sweet and sour. Has noticeable fruit scents in it. Has a weird but light smoke taste to it along with a mild sting on the tongue. And a flat and dry finish. My friend liked it. I said I’d never buy it again. Plus, it had a good bit of sediment down in the bottom, which I don’t really like. I’m done. BrewGyver, overall score = a generous 3 smokestacks out of 7.
