Smoak Simcoe by Marz Brewing of Chicago is a slightly floral, slightly short on smoke smelling, mostly skunky, less than mediocre IPA beer. A nice frothy head arose which fizzled down to what you see here, which held on for the duration of the drink. The bright golden color was expected considering its an IPA with high wheat content (smoked wheat, ushering it into SmokeBeerMinistry’s tasting room), along with the citrusy and floral notes. But the dry, bitter, and skunk left this beer resembling a bastard child of Mikkeller Rauchpils. One minister was overheard saying “Who likes this shit?” Overall, the result wasn’t that damning with a total smoakstack rating of 3 smoakstacks out of a total possible of 7 smoakstacks.
The other Marz beer did much better, https://smokebeerministry.wordpress.com/2016/06/27/marz-brewing-smoke-wheat-everyday-5-7-out-of-7-smokestacks-of-happiness/
