Here’s a quick review: Dark, No light can get through this at all, in fact, I think the room just got a little darker after pouring this into a glass. Pours like Hershey’s syrup. Thick on the lips. Syrup, rich, musty flavors. Smoke smell faint and hidden. Dark and thick. There is a smokebeer in there somewhere, hidden underneath coffee, chocolate, molasses, velvet cake, some kind of barrel, barleywine, motor oil, and peat. Overall Happiness 4 Smokestacks (out of 7)
Brewer | Midnight Sun Brewing |
Beer Name | Second Hand Smoke Stout |
Brewer’s Description | As second runnings of BarFly Smoked Imperial Stout, Second Hand Smoke Smoked Stout picks up the nuances of the rauch (smoked) malt to complement the caramel and roast flavors contributed by dark grains. Pour it into a snifter. Swirl it around. Warm it up. Let it waft. Inhale its essence. Drink it in. Warning: This could kill you. |
