For a light beer, Luther gets a particularly high score. Entrenched in the culture of Milwaukee, as well as the rest of Wisconsin for that matter, is beer culture, so it should be of no surprise that Lakefront makes a good beer. Luther, a Helles (light) Rauchbier, is really a beginner smokebeer with a light smoke and nuttiness finish. One Ministry official noted, “not saison, not fruity, not floral.” And why they decided to mention that this beer was not these three seemingly random flavors is a mystery. I can see myself returning to this one. Overall Happiness 4.1 Smokestacks.
