Fort Collins Brewery – Out of the Ashes Smoked Rye Porter – 5 out of 7 Smokestacks

Fort Collins Brewery Out of the Ashes

George Burns may not be here now, but I can tell he just left. This dark (6 of 7) Smoked Rye Porter comes off a little tart on the back of the tongue. BTW, I’m drinking when I do these reviews, obviously, let me start over. I’ve usually been drinking, plenty, and now is one of those times I’ve been drinking. I taste ash… My friend Manuel called and I had to stop the review in the middle and run down to the pub to kick it with him. I put plastic wrap over the glass and put it in the fridge, but it’s okay now. Sounds like Manuel is having a baby. Please don’t spread this around, he hasn’t told anybody yet. After 2 hrs this beer = still good. Overall smokestack metric = 5 Smokestacks.
