I wonder if they knew about The Perfect Crime Co. in Scheldebrouwerij, Meer, Belgium before brewing this one? Because there’s a clone beer out there in the ether. Regardless, right at the opening of this I could not find any smoke. It smells like a good beer, but not a smoked beer. In the taste, hops crop up, which is a little bit of a surprise for what I review, but the color is not a surprise. 5 out of 7 darkness points, Zero sausage detection, and smokepower taste… Zero. My overall happiness factor is a 4 out of 7 meaning that I am not happy or sad, just in the middle. I will resist throwing this bottle against the wall (before it is empty). Not a smokebeer, except in name only.
