BFM Biere Ambree Parfumee au Tarry Suchong, which translates to Beer Amber and Perfume of Terry Bradshaw. Smells like a wheat beer to me… which is a very pleasant aroma, and I’m sure is a much better smell than Terry Bradshaw. This happens to be one of two smoked w/ tea leaf beers that I’ve reviewed to date, so I guess it’s pretty rare. The beer also sips like a wheat beer, or even a barley wine with half the alcohol. The smoke makes its presence known from the start (so you shouldn’t have to stick your nose down the glass to find it.) And the color reminds me of great aunt Irma’s red hairdo from Easter Sunday 1984, who also smells like smoke. And just as everything was going fine, I stumble across silt. Fortunately, I was employing my secretive pouring technique which mitigated the potential disaster. Final Happiness Score = 5 Smokestacks.
